How much does smart home installation cost in Sydney?
Apple Home packages start from $12,000. C-Bus and DALI systems are priced on the number of circuits, keypads and rooms, so we quote them at a fixed price after a free site visit.
Should I choose C-Bus or Apple Home?
Often both. C-Bus is the wired system in your switchboard that runs the lights reliably, and Apple Home is the app you use day to day. For a new build or major renovation we usually recommend C-Bus with Apple Home on top. For an existing home, Apple Home on its own is usually the simpler path.
Can you automate an existing home without rewiring?
Usually, yes. Apple Home compatible switches, dimmers and blind motors can be fitted into most existing homes with minimal disruption. A full C-Bus system needs new cabling back to the switchboard, so it's best done during a renovation.
When should we bring you in on a new build?
Before frame stage, ideally while the plans are still being finalised. Cabling is cheapest to run before the plasterboard goes up, and keypad and sensor locations are far easier to plan on paper.
Does a smart home need the internet to work?
Not for the basics. Wall switches, scenes and timers run locally in your switchboard. Internet is only needed to control the house remotely and for some voice features.
